This past Sunday, we welcomed 10 new members into the fraternity as brothers. Throughout these past 8 weeks, these young men were taught of our four founding principles -- The Promotion of Friendship, The Diffusion of Liberal Culture, The Advancement of Justice, and the Development of Character.
The Spring 2017 Class continually shows initiative and determination, qualities that truly exemplify Delta Upsilon's principles and the epitome of being 'better men.' We have much hope in this new class and the many great things they will accomplish! In closing, we would also like to thank and congratulate Hunter Morabito, the VP of New Member Education, for his unwavering leadership and fraternal guidance! From 2/10 to 2/12, our E-board spent their weekend in Philadelphia to attend the Regional Leadership Academy.
Throughout the duration of this educational program, we were able to attend various sessions, which spanned a wide range of topics (like recruitment and loss prevention policies) that affect fraternity life today. Furthermore, not only was it a great opportunity to learn how other chapters operate, but was also a meaningful experience for us to bond with other chapter leaders over a common goal and mission of "Building Better Men." We are confident that we will be able to successfully implement the skills and knowledge that we have acquired at RLA, to maintain and continue our chapter's constant strive towards excellence. With the start of the semester, the E-board is consistently working hard on implementing new changes regarding philanthropy, brotherhood, and social events.
